The Real Bond Car… PICTURE CALL TOMORROW
11:00 Tuesday 20th May at the Old Admiralty Building, 26 Whitehall, SW1A 2WH.
An Aston Martin DB 2/4, which is understood to have been Ian Fleming‘s inspiration for James Bond’s Aston Martin in the original novel Goldfinger, has been discovered and is to be unveiled by international auctioneers Coys. A unique picture call will take place tomorrow at 11:00 tomorrow, Tuesday 20th May, at the Old Admiralty Building, 26 Whitehall SW1A 2WH, where Fleming had his office. A Royal Naval Commander will meet those in attendance and there will be an opportunity to photograph and film the car inside and out.
At 12:15 the car will leave the old Admiralty Building and travel to Dukes Hotel at 15 St James’s Place, often frequented by Ian Fleming, for a second picture call that will take place between 12:45 and 14.00. At 14:30 the car will leave the Hotel and travel to the Stratstone of Mayfair Aston Martin Showroom on Park Lane, where it will be on show until the end of the week. The car will then go on display at the Grange St. Paul’s Hotel at 10 Godliman St, London EC4V 5AJ.
