STILL GAME LIVE SHOW blocks U2 PLANS to book SSE Hydro in GLASGOW as part of their World Tour.

Bono and his band had been hoping to book the venue as an additional date to this year’s tour. However, Still Game’s incredible 21 night run at the 14,000-capacity arena has meant that the music legends will have to come up with an alternative solution if they are to play in Scotland in 2014.

A showbiz source from The Daily Record said:

We were told U2 are putting a world tour together and of course they want to play Scotland. The Hydro was discussed as a possible venue and the dates they were looking at were in September – but it isn’t available because that is when Still Game are there. So Jack and Victor’s popularity has effectively blocked Bono. It’s beyond comprehension.

After being told of the dates clash, the band members have been watching clips from Still Game and Chewin’ the Fat, and it is understood that Bono is becoming a bit of a fan! Well Bono, if you are reading this and can’t get enough of Jack & Victor, you can catch their alter-egos, PC McTavish & Officer McKenzie, in our animated feature ‘Guardian of the Highlands‘! Good luck with the tour.
