Sir Billi’s Chris Benstead scoops Gravity BAFTA

Chris Benstead has won a British Academy Film Award for his work on Hollywood blockbuster Gravity.

Chris’s role as the film’s Music Editor presented him and his team with a win in the sound category in last night’s award ceremony at the Royal Opera House, London. Chris, who also served as Music Editor on the animated feature ‘Sir Billi‘ said:

It is amazing to be nominated, but not unexpected as the job everyone did was astonishing. It was probably the most ‘out there’ project I’ve worked on, as there was music flying around. I spent about three months working on the film

Chris, 32, has a first class honours degree in music and sound recording from the University of Surrey in Guildford. His other titles include Captain Phillips, Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes, Thor, Black Swan and Clash Of The Titans. He lives in Surrey with his wife Bryony, and his son (Ralph) and daughter (Matilda).

Congratulations Chris, you thoroughly deserve the award!
